On October 3rd 2017, the ProStar Electrical crew installed our 20kw Kohler propane powered generator. They prepared the base for the generator to sit on, as well as the bases for the 2 propane tanks. The crew was very professional in their work and cleaned up the job area when finished. The generator is tested and run every 2 weeks for a 20 minute period since installation. The few times that we required assistance, Meg made sure that our concerns were addressed in a timely manner. We would recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing a generator, that they give ProStar Electrical a call.

We were in a tough spot with our home's electrical system: half our house was in darkness for a couple of months. An initial inspection by another contractor found many of our circuits dangerously overloaded. Until we found Prostar, we existed with battery powered lights and a trouble light on an extension cord. Prostar were willing to work without money up front - unlike our original electrician, who would have required 50% payment up front. Once Prostar started work, they adjusted to our schedule and also moved furniture the day of work in a given area that day. This made day to day living during the work much easier. Prostar installed any light fixtures we purchased as replacement for old fixtures. Most importantly, they clearly explained the rewire, and ensured our electrical system was safe. The guys even tolerated intrusions from our nosey greyhound. Prostar turned our major stress into maximum reassurance,and made our home more pleasant and liveable. Thank you,

In the spring of 2022 we purchased a rural property in NB and for safety reasons wanted a standby generator. Friends recommended Prostar so we asked them for a quote, we asked multiple sources for a quote. Despite having to come a fair distance, Scott was happy to come out and give us a quote. The cost was reasonable and Scott and his crew would look after absolutely EVERYTHING. Other quotes had come in cheaper but required a great deal of logistics to be looked after by us, the home owners. Prostar arranged for propane to be set up and delivered to our home, they dealt with NB Power on our behalf we were pleased. Our Kohler generator arrived with Prostar's crew and they were a very pleasant bunch, installation went smooth and we were set.  Due to a manufacturing defect, our generator quit working 3 days before Christmas. One call, one call is all it took for the crew to sweep in the very next day to replace the defective unit with a brand new model. They worked in the cold and the snow with a big smile on their face, the only thing missing was their capes. We could not believe the level professionalism they displayed, to make this happen within 24 hrs, of the generator malfunctioning, in freezing temperatures, a long way from home was more than we had expected. In 2014 l purchased a Kohler generator from ProStar Electric. I spoke with Scott who explained the system, we addressed my current needs, my expectations and the potential costs. He then suggested the appropriate system to accommodate my home and family size. We agreed since my husband and I are senior citizens with some mobility limitations a system directly connected to our electrical box would be the best choice for us. Scott also suggested the type of generator to install as replacement parts were available in our city in case we needed them. Claude, their electrician, patiently explained the new electrical system and answered all my questions. The staff at ProStar are friendly, knowledgeable, kind, patient, efficient and my phone inquiries are promptly addressed. The yearly fall maintenance, that they provide, is added security that no matter what weather event occurs we are covered and safe. The gentlemen installing the location of the generator were concerned that if the generator began working at night possible fumes, from the propane tanks, would not be close to an open window where a family member may be sleeping. Attention to such details and family safety were their upmost concern. It was an important detail that I had not considered. Scott suggested instead of installing one large propane tank we could use 4 smaller tanks that could be easily exchanged two for two. All I had to do was let the propane dealer know when the monitoring dial was red. The propane dealers from Lakeshore Fuels are amazing. They answer my calls promptly and even give me credit for propane still in a tank. I have been a nurse for 55 years and an OR nurse for over 30 years. I recognized their commitment to service and that our safety is in their attention to detail. We appreciate the ProStar staff and their continuing support.
